What Is Bulk Import?

Bulk import lets you create multiple shipping orders simultaneously by uploading an Excel or CSV file. This tool is designed to process large volumes of orders efficiently.

Benefits

  • Efficiency: Cuts order creation time from hours to minutes
  • Accuracy: Reduces human error in data entry
  • Scalability: Can process hundreds or thousands of orders
  • Automation: Automatic price calculations

Supported File Formats

  • Excel (.xlsx, .xls)
  • CSV (.csv)
  • Maximum size: 10MB
  • Recommended: up to 10,000 records per file

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Configuration Check

When you open the bulk import section, the system automatically checks that rate configuration is ready.

If you see a configuration error:

  • Contact the administrator to configure rates
  • Common errors include: unconfigured zones, missing rates

If the configuration is valid:

  • You can continue with the file upload

Step 2: Upload the File

  1. Click “Select file” or drag and drop your file
  2. The system automatically validates the format and content
  3. You’ll see a preview of the first rows of your file

Common errors:

  • “Unsupported file format” - use .xlsx, .xls, or .csv
  • “Corrupted or unreadable file” - check that the file isn’t damaged
  • “File exceeds maximum size” - split into smaller files

Step 3: Field Mapping

Here you match your file’s columns to the system’s fields.

Required fields:

CategoryField
SenderName, Address, Phone, Email
RecipientName, Address, Phone, Email
ShipmentDescription, Weight, Destination postal code

Optional fields:

  • Customer reference
  • Special notes
  • Declared value
  • Dimensions (length, width, height)
  • Service type

Mapping tips:

  • The system automatically suggests mappings based on column names
  • You can save your mapping configuration for future imports
  • Check the preview to confirm the data is interpreted correctly

Step 4: Processing

  1. Confirm the configuration and click “Process”
  2. The file is processed in the background
  3. You can close the window without interrupting the process
  4. You’ll get a notification when it finishes

Processing states:

  • Queued: Waiting to be processed
  • Processing: File being processed
  • Completed: All orders created successfully
  • Partial: Some orders had errors
  • Failed: General error during processing

Results and Reports

When it’s done, you’ll see:

  • Total rows processed
  • Orders created successfully
  • Orders with errors
  • Total processing time

You can:

  • View the created orders directly
  • Download a detailed report in Excel
  • Reprocess only the rows that had errors
