When the Agencies module is active, after creating an order the system can recommend the customer nearby offices to drop off their package. This guide explains how that recommendation works and what you need for it to appear.

Where it appears

When you finish creating an order, you’ll see the “Order created successfully!” screen. On the right (or below, on small screens) the “Delivery near you” card appears with the offices where the package can be dropped off.

From that same screen you can also print the label (choosing the size) and view the order.

What the card shows

The card adapts based on the information available:

  • If your location is known (from the sender’s address): it shows the closest offices, sorted by distance, indicating how many meters or kilometers away they are.
  • If your exact location isn’t known: it shows “Our offices” with the available offices, and a search box above to find the closest one:
    • View offices near me: uses your device’s location (the browser will ask for permission) to show you the closest offices with their distance.
    • Search by postal code: type a postal code to see the offices in that area.

Each office shows its name, type, address, and phone:

  • Click the address to open it on the map.
  • Click the phone to call.

If there are many offices, the list lets you scroll to see them all.

What you need for offices to appear

For an office to be recommended to your customers, it must meet the following (see Agency Guide):

  1. The Agencies module must be enabled (Organization → System).
  2. The office must be marked as Public.
  3. The office must be Active.
  4. To be recommended by proximity with distance, it must have its map location registered.

Only offices marked as public are shown to customers. Internal offices (for example, a distribution center that doesn’t serve the public) don’t appear.

Recommendation based on shipment type

If the order has a cash-on-delivery (COD) amount, the system prioritizes showing offices that accept cash-on-delivery payments. If none of the nearby ones accept it, the available nearby offices are still shown so you’re not left without options.

Tips

  • Register the map location of all your public offices: without it, the office may appear in the general list but the distance can’t be calculated.
  • Keep the phone and address up to date, since these are the details your customer will see and use to get there or call.
  • Mark as public only the offices where you actually want your customers to drop off packages.
